They just rarely meet.
The Sage Circle is Rare’s commitment to changing that.
Why we are doing this
Rare was built on relationships. Real people, real businesses, and the responsibility of getting protection right.
Not just placing policies, but making sure people actually understand what they’re covered for, what they’re not, and what that means when something goes wrong.
Because too much of this industry relies on complexity, fine print, and assumptions that only get tested when it’s too late.
Rare exists to remove that ambiguity. To bring clarity where there’s usually confusion. And to make sure care shows up long before it’s ever needed.
The two communities
Sages
You have built things. Survived things. Learned what actually matters and what does not. That knowledge is real and it has value.
The Sage Circle is a place to put it to use. Not as a mentor in a formal program. As a person, sitting alongside someone who could genuinely benefit from what you have already figured out.
Seekers
You are not looking for more information. You are looking for someone who has been there.
Someone who can sit with the uncertainty and help you see through it. The Sage Circle connects you with people who have walked roads you are just beginning.
How it works
We are not building communities from scratch.
They already exist. Sages gather in places they have made their own. Seekers gather in institutions built for their growth. The Sage Circle bridges those two worlds through structured, facilitated experiences that give both groups what the other already has.
Not panels or lectures. Not speed networking.
Something quieter. Shoulder to shoulder. Doing something together. A skill being passed on. A story being captured. A real conversation that starts because there is something real to do.
Each session is intentional. Each pairing is considered. The environment is calm. The purpose is clear.
We are piloting this now. Designing the program with community and institutional partners before we open it wider. When it runs, it will be built to work. Not just built to launch.
How clients are part of this
Rare commits one percent of its annual revenue to fund the Sage Circle.
Every business that works with Rare contributes to this. Not as an add-on. Not as a charity donation attached to a transaction. As a direct result of choosing a broker who has built impact into how it operates.
You bring your risk to us. We structure your protection and use the business we build together to fund something the community genuinely needs.
That is what we mean when we say care does not stop with insurance.
